Third Eye Chakra and Helichrysum

third-eye-IG-helichysum

When working with your Third Eye or Brow Chakra, one of the oils to consider is Helichrysum.

Helichrysum is one of my favorite oils, it is one of the best natural remedies for bruising as it can help keep blood inside of the blood vessel after an injury to a particular area.

Helichrysum is also one of the best oils for eczema and psoriasis, mix with a soothing hypo-allergenic base like coconut oil and it can be applied to the affected area up to 3 times a day.

Diffusing Helichrysum can also be helpful for symptoms of asthma or other issues that cause congestion such as hay fever, coughs and bronchitis. Helichrysum may also help reduce scarring.

I call it my first aid kit in a bottle. Along with the aforementioned things I also use it to speed healing of little paper cuts and scrapes.

Brow or Third Eye Chakra

third-eye-IG

The 6th Chakra, the Brow or Third Eye Chakra, is located in the middle of the forehead between the eyes. This chakra is the centre of psychic power, spirit energies, higher intuition and light. It directs our perception, intuitive reasoning, imagination, intuition, ability to concentrate and visualization.

When this chakra is healthy and well balanced, we have the ability to separate reality from fantasy. We are able to concentrate and focus as needed; we can imagine something and bring that idea into reality and we have a strong sense of intuition. It represents the element “light” which travels at speeds beyond comprehension.

If our Third Eye is Overdeveloped we have racing thoughts, we are hung up on logic, living in our heads, endlessly planning but not doing, subject to headaches & migraines.

Underdeveloped leads us to be illogical acting without thinking, forgetful, vision and eye problems.

Physically this chakra represents our Endocrine and Nervous systems, our Autonomic Nervous system, Hypothalamus, Ears and Pituitary Gland.
This may affect us manifesting in anxiety, depression, insomnia, nightmares, glaucoma, near or far sightedness, cataracts, facial acne or rashes.

It’s color is Indigo and it’s mantra is “I AM”.

Some Crystals that you may want to carry or meditate with are Amethyst, Purple Fluorite, Kyanite, Lepidolite, Pearl and most purple stones and crystals.

Some oils that may help in balancing your third-eye chakra are German and Roman Chamomile, Grapefruit, Helichrysum, Myrrh, Petitgrain and Sandalwood.

My favorite affirmation: “I follow my intuition”

Throat Chakra

Othroat-chakra-ig2

Our 5th Chakra is the Throat Chakra and is the voice of the body. It’s associated with your Self Expression and Communication and is located in the throat and neck region. It is the pressure valve that allows the energy from the other chakras to be expressed. Having a blockage here can affect the health of the other chakras.

When the Throat Chakra is in balance, we can express what we think and what we feel, communicating our ideas, beliefs and emotions, allowing us to bring our personal truth out into the world.

When out of balance, the physical symptoms may include sore throat, TMJ, gum or tooth issues, stiff neck and headaches. Spiritually you may find yourself habitually lying, feeling fear and doubt about the intentions of others, or at a loss for words. You will likely have feelings of being isolated and misunderstood.
Our Throat Chakra governs the throat, thyroid, trachea, neck vertebrae, mouth, teeth, gums etc.

Blue crystals will help unblock and balance the throat chakra. Darker shades have the power of truth, lighter shades have the power of flexibility, relaxation and balance. Yellow crystals can be used to augment the blue for balancing. The yellow crystals draw energy from the solar plexus bringing the power of communications and free expression.

Some crystals to carry that may help Blue Lace Agate, Sodalite, Aquamarine, Lapis Lazuli, Kyanite, Blue Quartz, Blue Sapphire, Turquoise.

Some essential oils that may assist your Throat Chakra are Basil, Bergamot, Chamomile, Cypress, Peppermint and Spearmint.

To heal and open the throat chakra, sing loudly! Take a nice shower and sing your heart out.

My favorite Throat Chakra affirmation:
I live in my truth, I communicate my truth, I am the truth.

Heart Chakra

The 4th Chakra, the Heart Chakra, represents love and higher consciousness. It is located in the center of chest just above heart. The Heart chakra is associated with the heart, thymus gland, lower lung and circulatory system.

The heart chakra acts as the balance point for all the chakras. It governs our relationships and how we interact with other people. A balanced heart chakra is expressed in acceptance of self and others, personal values and ethics, following one’s unique direction in life.

A balanced Heart Chakra means expansion, freedom and growth.

Some signs that the Heart Chakra is out of balance are:
Lack of self discipline
Difficulty in relationships
An attempt to live vicariously through another
Dependence on someone else for your happiness

Colors associated with the heart chakra are Green and Pink.

You may feel like a victim in the world, and often feel powerless to circumstances and other people’s desires. You may also suffer from frequent stomach pains and stomach anxiety.

Sacral Chakras

sacral-ig

The Sacral Chakra is your passion and pleasure centre and is located in the pelvic area. While the Root Chakra is all about survival, the 2nd chakra seeks pleasure and enjoyment.

The gift of this chakra is experiencing our lives through feelings and sensations.
The energy of this chakra allows you to let go, to move and feel change and transformation occurring within your body, to experience this moment as it is, in its own fullness.

The main challenge of this chakra is societal conditioning. We are taught not to lose control, to contain our feelings, passion and emotional reactions. This repression leads to a disconnect from our bodies and our feelings. Culturally we struggle over the many sexual issues of our society leading to blocked or excessive second chakra issues. This area is concerned with daily aspects of living, and the quality of our relationships.

The Sacral Chakra is also the centre of our creativity. Everything you create; poetry, painting, websites, originates from the energy and passion of the second chakra. It is also where your fertility originates. After all – conceiving a child is a creative process.

An overactive Sacral chakra can cause emotional overreactions, excessive emotional attachment to people or objects; excessive neediness in relationships, co-dependency, muscle tension and abdominal cramps.
An energy deficiency can cause fear of happiness or pleasure, self-sabotage, lack of creativity and authenticity, low libido, pessimism, depression, irregular menstrual cycle, urinary or bladder infections.

The sacral chakra is represented by the color orange.

Gemstones to wear or carry could include carnelian, coral, moonstone, orange calcite and sunstone.

Essential Oils to use could include Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Geranium, Melissa, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Tangerine and Wild Orange.

Our root chakra element is the water and the mantra is “I Feel”.

Other mantras:
I deserve pleasure from my life
My feelings are healthy
I love myself exactly as I am right now
I open myself to others naturally

Root Chakra and dōTERRA Whisper

whisper-rootI started using Whisper some many months ago, and I’ve felt balanced, calmer and yes – grounded.  I haven’t thought much about it, but a few weekends I’ve not put my Whisper on and I’ve certainly noticed the difference.  Refreshing my thoughts for my upcoming Chakra/Oils workshop I realized that Whisper contains many of the oils that support the Root Chakra oils and as I’m also fighting Adrenal Fatigue I’ve obviously needed them in my life as I was and am drawn to this blend each and every day.

Some of the important Root Chakra oils: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Cinnamon, Ylang Ylang, Frankincense and Vetiver

What’s in Whisper:  Bergamot Peel, Ylang Ylang Flower, Patchouli Leaf, Vanilla Bean Absolute, Jasmine Flower Absolute, Cinnamon Bark, Labdanum, Vetiver Root, Hawaiian Sandalwood, Cocoa Bean Absolute, Rose Flower essential oils in a base of Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Hmmmm — now I understand ♥

Root Chakra, Oils & Crystals

rootchakra-instagram

Our root chakra is located at the base of the spine near the tailbone and forms our foundation. The Root Chakra element is Earth and is related to our survival instinct. This is where we ground ourselves and take care of our basic needs. The root affects the energetic field of the adrenal gland, bones, skeletal structure and our sense of smell.

When our root chakra is balanced we feel safe, like we have the ability to survive and control our fear. We have a healthy body awareness and attract order and abundance.

When our root chakra is unbalanced we lean towards low energy and laziness, have headaches, depression, anxiety and eating disorders. We may have problems with our feet and legs, internal gut issues and addictions. We may fear change.

The root chakra is represented by the color Red, although Black is used as well. Gemstones to wear or carry could include Agate, Bloodstone, Red Coral, Red Garnet, Red Jasper, Ruby, Hematite, Black Tourmaline and Obsidian.
Essential Oils to use could include Myrrh, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Sandalwood, Spikenard, Ylang Ylang, Vetiver

Apply oils directly to the area of the Chakra. Put a small amount of carrier oil and a drop or two of the essential oil in your hands and rub together. Inhale the scent of the oils for a few deep breaths. Then work in wide circles and rub into area of the Chakra.

You may also apply on heart centre, pulse points, back of the knees and wrists.

Our root chakra element is the Earth and the mantra is “I am”.

Other mantras:
I accept all of the abundance in my life
I am safe in all areas of my life
I have enough and I am enough
I am grounded
